Remy LeBeau didn't leave the Acolytes and join the X-men because Magneto was dead, or because his best friend was an insane pyromaniac, or even because Sabretooth wanted him dead and made no effort to hide the fact. He left because of the flippy thing his heart did whenever he saw the girl with green eyes and poisonous skin.
